Southern Wesleyan University’s School of Business is committed to modeling and training traditional and non-traditional students to pursue excellence in business. This pursuit of excellence is focused on developing character and business skills.
Scarcely a week goes by without hearing of a new corporate ethical failure. It is our objective to model and teach students how to be virtuous managers in a world where many managers choose to survive instead of choosing to do what is right. Excellence is a question of developing character excellence as well as developing excellence in specific business skills (Exodus 18:21).
The three pillars of EXCELLENCE, follow the model of 1 Corinthians 13:13.
FAITH / QUALITY
LOVE / SERVICE
HOPE / CREATIVITY
Teaching Philosophy:
PRACTICAL Develop business skills and join in adding value through real world business experiences that are framed in an academic program.
Study Group / Service Learning Projects facilitate learning by utilizing interactive skills to achieve common objectives. When group talents, experiences and learning resources are shared, students assume greater self-direction and responsibility for their own learning. Synergy becomes a reality!
INNOVATIVE Learn to be creative in a world where entrepreneurship, technology, globalization and change is an increasing reality.
BIBLICAL Train students to be persons of integrity based on Biblical truth that will transform personal and professional life.
